Argo Park

This park is way up near the intersection of I-25 and I-70, which is a bit far from where I live, but if I'm going to visit all the parks in Denver we'll have to travel around sometimes. This park is a quaint neighborhood park, with a cool playground and a water slide. The pool wasn't open but it looked like a lot of fun if it had been. We most likely wouldn't drive all the way out here for the pool house, but if you live in the neighborhood it seems great. Cainen rode his skate board around the park and Mad and I walked up to the railroad track. It's not the best park for walking around or jogging or anything, but a cute place for picnics and swimming if you live nearby.

Skyland Park

This is an okay park. We don't live in this neighborhood so would probably never come here again. It's near a rec center, has a nice playground, courts, and we laid a sheet down to read and have a picnic. I suppose it has all the things I like in a park, I just didn't get a good vibe from it. Parking is okay, just along the side of the road. One thing I didn't like was that there wasn't much of a walking trail, at least nothing long enough that would feel like a good work out to me, and it doesn't connect to any trails. Overall though, if you live in this neighborhood, I'm sure it's great.

Greenway Park

This is a long thin park that seems more of a community park and a park for small children, but that didn't stop us from getting on the playground! There was also a small community garden which is also fun to see. It connects to several other large parks- Stapleton Central and Westerly Creek- and has the Westerly Creek Trail connecting it.

William McKinley Carson Park

Named after our 25th President and in Greenwood Village, so not a park of Denver Parks and Rec, but the nearest skate park to our apartment. We've been here a few times so Cainen can play at the skate park here. It's small, compared to the Denver skate park downtown, but it's close. It's really pretty, as far as landscaping, but it's surrounded by buildings. It's very small, so for me to get any good exercise here I'd probably have to walk around it twenty times, but it's fun to sit on one of the benches and read, which is what I typically do when we come here. If you leave near this park and have a kid who likes to skate board, definitely come. And then afterward visit the much larger Westlands Park across the street.*And clearly those two photos at the bottom were taken on different days. :)

Mount Galbraith Park

Since it's Fall and the leaves are so beautiful, I wanted to go exploring and get wonderful pictures of the fall leaves. We didn't have much of a plan for where to go and ended up near Golden. We went on the trail at Mount Galbraith Park which was really beautiful. We could have walked further up the trail along side the mountain but since it was a little wet I was nervous about it. I'm not quite sure how far the trails wrap around, but it didn't appear to go too far and didn't seem to end in anything, so I gave this park a 3/5.

Godsman Park

We got to the Godsman Park by walking up the Sanderson Gulch Trail from Ruby Hill Park. It's a nice walk and the trail continues past it, but the kids were tired. You walk along the gulch water and a somewhat busy street. Godsman is right next to an elementary school and what looks like a quiet neighborhood. It's peaceful, but there's not much to it, as you can see from the pics. Since this is along a trail and near larger parks, we might pass by here again, but I don't think we'd stop here to do anything. There's not much to actually do here except picnic. Maybe it's more for the kids to hang out there after school, or more of a neighborhood park. Its nice enough though.

Denison Park

Denison Park is a decent neighborhood park. It has a playground, a grass area, a basketball court, and a quiet neighborhood you could go walking around. If I lived in the neighborhood I would enjoy this park a lot more, but it's not quite a park I would go to if I was nearby or anything. Nice enough though.

"Packy" Romans Park

Romans Park is actually in Englewood also! It is a super nice neighborhood park and really great for smaller children. It has a ton of playground equipment that is great for 2-8 year olds. It has a playground for bigger kids too but the coolest equipment seems geared towards a younger age. It's a long thin park, which we didn't quite like the layout of it. We probably wouldn't come here again, not just because it's kind of out of the way. We would definitely be here all the time if we lived nearby though. It has really unique benches too that reminded us of Mario mushrooms.
