I love going to parks. It's one of my favorite things to do. I take the kids to parks at least once a week. I thought it would be a fun goal for me and the kids to try to visit every park in Denver. According to the Parks and Rec website there are over 200. Our plan is to go to every single one- tiny neighborhood parks and the larger city parks- and then rate them based on what we like in a park. It will give us an excuse to explore Denver and get some exercise.

Bear Valley Park
Both kids were in cross country this past September, 2014, which was super exciting. They had several meets here at Bear Valley Park, and they both agreed that running it was nice. Some of the meet locations weren't at nice as this one. There was shade in some places and it was relatively flat. For me, this location was nice for a meet because parking was easy, as well as getting in and out of the area. The kids did a great job and we were so proud of them for how hard they worked in training, being a team player, and just trying something that they didn't think they would enjoy.
