We were pretending we were on a roller coaster. So scared!! |
I love going to parks. It's one of my favorite things to do. I take the kids to parks at least once a week. I thought it would be a fun goal for me and the kids to try to visit every park in Denver. According to the Parks and Rec website there are over 200. Our plan is to go to every single one- tiny neighborhood parks and the larger city parks- and then rate them based on what we like in a park. It will give us an excuse to explore Denver and get some exercise.

Joseph P. Martinez Park
This park is a little ways from where we are normally but it's a nice park with tons of cool playground equipment, the Lakewood Gulch stream, and a trail that connects to several other parks. It's in a quiet neighborhood, away from busy roads and has it's own parking lot area, so it's relatively easy access. It's a smaller sized park but since it's connected to so many other things, it feels bigger than it is. I would recommend going here and taking time out to walk along the trail to all the other parks it's connected to.
