This is right across the street from the Garland Park, so we walked over here too. It's right near trails, which were nice to walk on when we were heading home. It's a large park, has a path around to walk/run, has a nice playground, rocks to climb on, and a stream running through it. The kids and I will really love coming here to hang out or have a picnic. I'm sure they'll love playing near the stream to see if they see any fish or crabs. It's also has easy parking and is fairly quiet.
I love going to parks. It's one of my favorite things to do. I take the kids to parks at least once a week. I thought it would be a fun goal for me and the kids to try to visit every park in Denver. According to the Parks and Rec website there are over 200. Our plan is to go to every single one- tiny neighborhood parks and the larger city parks- and then rate them based on what we like in a park. It will give us an excuse to explore Denver and get some exercise.
