We only went here for a little bit and didn't travel along the trails as much as I would have liked, plus, it's a Jefferson County Park and not a Denver Park, but hey! it's a park. It's usually really crowded with cars so difficult to find parking. You have to park along the side of the road. It's on your way to Red Rocks, and you can get to this park from the Red Rocks Trail anyway, so either way, it's accessible.
I love going to parks. It's one of my favorite things to do. I take the kids to parks at least once a week. I thought it would be a fun goal for me and the kids to try to visit every park in Denver. According to the Parks and Rec website there are over 200. Our plan is to go to every single one- tiny neighborhood parks and the larger city parks- and then rate them based on what we like in a park. It will give us an excuse to explore Denver and get some exercise.
